Default Inner Tie rod replacement

I'm trying to pinpoint a new problem with my CRV.

A few months ago, I noticed that when I turned left, I heard a clicking noise from the front passenger side. It clicked faster the faster I went and it was worse when turned all the way to the left. I had the CV joint on the left side replaced a couple of months before, and the mechanic mentioned that there was also some play in the inner tie rod and that he had tightened it up when he replaced the joint.

The noise came back a few weeks ago and is louder and is more of a clicking and clunking sound. Still worse when turned all the way to the left. Does it sound like the inner tie rod needs to be replaced?

I'm taking the car to the shop in a couple of days and I want to point my mechanic in the right direction.

Thanks

The play would be a tie rod end, either an inner or an outer.

The clicking on the other hand is the sign of a CV joint issue. If it was a tire rod end and it was bad enough, you would hear a clunk and have some tracking issues as well as some tire wear issues if you let it go on long enough.

I did some more testing today and found that I also hear the noise when I am backing up with wither the wheel turned left or right.

I'm also having some vibration when driving on the highway.

Thanks for the response.

I suppose it is possible that the CV joint has gone bad again as well.

My wife is the primary driver and she is a pothole and curb magnet !

Default problem fixed

Forgot to get back with the details of the fix.

Mechanic diagnosed problem as bad left inner tie rod and left CV joint and replaced both.

No more sounds or vibrations!

thank you for the update

I am at the mercy as well, of a tie rod , but I am unclear how to tell if a tie rod needs replacing or the signs?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppE45jl8vbQ

in this link is my video talking to the world asking for advice how to tell if a tie rod is bad or not.

I watched a few clips, nothing on a V, and watching a clip it can POP with force?

I also see it has a Cotler Pin, and a retracting toold is needed?

$25.00 plus a hour labor. I know they'll say with an wheel alignment to making ot $200.00 with tax and all.
As I know the Cv they are aftermarkets and rebuilt, I had three go in before I got a good one, or the motor mount was the actual issue or not.

This isone repair I like to get done as Iam told ball joints, tie rod, one repair after the other.

thank you
